Three SUNY Cortland students presented their findings at the New York Chapter of American Fisheries Society’s annual meeting. Their research was done through the Tunison Lab of Aquatic Sciences and Oswego’s Lab of Biological Sciences.
Ala Eddine Laouir joined the college’s Cybersecurity program as part of the final steps in completing his Ph.D. on data confidentiality in large or complex data sets. He has also joined the college’s Advanced Information Security and Privacy research lab.
Fiona Ellsworth, a fourth-year PhD student and Presidential Scholar, researches what factors control carbon persistence in soil and how stressors, like drought or light limitation, impact the amount and type of carbon that roots send into the soil.
